Respiratory Therapist
The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides clinical care and operates respiratory equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases. They work under the supervision of the department director or lead therapist to support patient care.
• The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide clinical care under the direct/indirect supervision of the Director of Respiratory and/or Respiratory Supervisor/Lead Therapist. At the request of the physician, the Registered Respiratory Therapist will set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment that are utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.
Candidates must hold a current New York State license, an Associate degree, and at least one year of hospital experience. Additional requirements include NBRC registration, BLS certification, and a G-71 Certificate of Fitness.
