We have been in business for over 17 years, and as we continue to grow, we are looking for motivated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join our team and provide quality care to our patients in a home health setting.

Job Summary The SLP/SLPA provides speech and language therapy services to help patients improve their communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities and increase their independence and quality of life. This position involves working with patients and families in the home, following an individualized plan of care, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (SLP)

  • Provide skilled speech-language pathology services in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments of speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities as appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapy activities, home programs, safety, and strategies that promote communication and independence.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Accurately document evaluations, interventions, progress, and other services provided.
  • Communicate and collaborate with physicians, caregivers, SLPAs, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to SLPAs in accordance with applicable regulations and professional standards.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and payer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (SLPA)

  • Provide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP and in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
  • Implement speech and language therapy activities and interventions established by the supervising SLP.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapy activities, home programs, and strategies that promote communication and independence.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment and communicate findings to the supervising SLP.
  • Accurately complete visit documentation, progress notes, and clinical notes in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, the supervising SLP, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and patient care protocols.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and payer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Speech-language Pathology from an accredited college or university
  • Active Texas state license as a speech-language pathologis
  • Certificate of clinical competence from American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
  • Proof of current CPR certification.
  • Drivers License (required)
  • Car Insurance (required)

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

  • Graduate from a school of Speech Language Pathology Assistant with a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.
  • Current Texas State License as an SLPA
  • CPR Certification
  • Recent work experience in Home Health (preferred)
  • 2 years experience as an SLPA in an acute care or rehabilitation setting
  • Drivers License (required)
  • Car Insurance (required)

Skills

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and timekeeping.

Requirements
