The nurse will deliver responsible and accountable nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and implementation. They will also collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, patient-focused outcomes in a Med/Surg unit.

Nurses enjoy working on 1E as you are able to become an expert in so many areas since we care for a wide variety of diagnosis.

Some of the patients we care for are those with Respiratory illnesses, Acute Kidney Injuries, DKA, Septic Shock and many more.

We also have a surgical population of Mastectomy patients and Thyroidectomy patients.

In addition to some of the above stated items, 1E also uses Endotool which is our continuous insulin drip program and utilizes cardiac drips.

Teamwork is vital within our unit and the staff work to ensure sound communication with the whole care team.

We provide patient-focused inpatient care in 248 private patient rooms and outpatient services for medical, surgical and specialty care, achieving high rates of patient satisfaction.

Scope of work Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.

Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.

This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA.

This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health.

Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate degree in Nursing and a Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license. Additionally, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
