As a Resident Assistant, you will provide hands-on personal care, medication support, and daily living assistance to seniors in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. This role plays a vital part in promoting resident independence, dignity, safety, and overall well-being. No medication administration experience? No problem. Training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Personal Care Assistance Provide compassionate support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including: · Bathing and showering · Dressing and grooming · Hair, foot, and fingernail care · Shaving assistance · Toileting and continence care · Feeding and hydration support · Hearing aid and eyeglass assistance · Mobility support, walking assistance, and resident escorts · Safe transfers, including mechanical lift use and 1-2 person transfers Medication & Health Services · Administer medications or assist with medication administration under RN direction · Assist with prescribed treatments according to individualized care plans · Perform blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration as trained · Measure and document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature · Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional condition Resident Support & Engagement · Help create a positive and engaging environment for residents · Assist with social, recreational, and wellness activities · Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families · Promote resident independence while maintaining safety and dignity Household & Community Support · Complete assigned laundry services · Follow daily housekeeping and cleaning schedules · Deliver meal trays and assist with dining services · Respond appropriately to resident and community emergencies Communication & Teamwork · Observe and report resident concerns or changes in condition · Collaborate with nurses and care team members to ensure quality care · Serve as a mandated reporter and report concerns regarding potential mistreatment · Contribute observations and recommendations to resident care discussions Required Qualifications · less than 1 year · Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines · If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and site must be able to manage restrictions that they are not able to pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.
