About the role

Perform diagnostic outpatient imaging while ensuring proper radiation safety and patient positioning. Maintain accurate documentation, manage patient data in imaging systems, and assist radiologists during procedures.

SUMMARY

Perform diagnostic outpatient imaging on patients while ensuring and maintaining proper radiation exposure requirements.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic images and proper patient positioning
  • Operating proper equipment and assisting Radiologists for procedures if necessary
  • Maintain proper documentation and terminology with knowledge of anatomy
  • Ability to learn new imaging protocols and equipment as needed
  • Ability to input patient data into RIS, PACS, VSDM
  • Observes patient privacy policy and complies with HIPAA
  • Preforms routine cleaning of the work area and associated equipment, laundry, and stocking when needed
  • Ensures proper care and compassion with all patients
  • Follows appropriate policies and procedures for exams
  • Willing to perform and or accept other duties that may be assigned
  • Attendance at meetings and training sessions may be required. These sessions could occasionally be scheduled outside of your regular working hours to accommodate business needs and training opportunities. We appreciate your flexibility and commitment to attending these sessions as necessary to support our team's goals and professional development.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education, experience, and qualifications

Completion of a recognized Diagnostic Radiology Program of 2 or more years.

  • Certificates, licenses, registrations
  • Must hold a current ARRT certificate.
  • Must continue to obtain the recommended amount of Continuing Educations Credits each year per certification(s).
  • Continuing education in accordance of the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan.

Language skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Reasoning ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Requirements
