Ophthalmic Technician

About the role

The Ophthalmic Technician will gather comprehensive patient information and conduct preliminary examinations including visual acuity and pupillary responses. They will also perform advanced diagnostic tests and assist ophthalmologists during surgical and laser procedures.

Description Join Our Growing Ophthalmology Team as an Ophthalmic Technician!

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional patient care and eager to grow in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you!

Travel between practices is required !!!

Your Impact

Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.

Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.

Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.

Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.

Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.

Administer eye drops: (Certification

Required)

Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.

What

You'll

Bring/Requirements: A passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician. Knowledge of medical office procedures. Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice. High School Diploma or equivalent.

Bonus

Points: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.

Skills: Reliability and a strong work ethic. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Proficiency in data entry and typing. Outstanding customer service skills.

Hours and location: Up tp 40 hours per week

Requirements

Candidates must have proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are required.
