About the role

The surgical technician assists surgeons in the operating room to ensure procedures are completed safely and efficiently. They provide patient care across all age groups and support various surgical, endoscopy, and dental procedures.

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Full-time Surgery Tech for our Surgery Center.

The Surgical Technician is to assist the surgeon to the completion of each operation safely and efficiently. The individual must possess skills and competencies necessary to provide nursing care to patients ranging in age from neonate to geriatric.

This position will serve in the role as a surgical technician in the Operating Room, mainly assisting with surgical procedures, endoscopy procedures, dental procedures and assisting where needed in the capacity of a surgical technician.

To be considered, candidates must have completed their OR or Surgery Tech certification and have at least one full year of direct position related experience in an Operating Room.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed an approved training course in Surgical Technology.
  • Must have 1 year experience in an Operating Room setting.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology preferred.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed an approved surgical technology training course and possess at least one year of direct operating room experience. Certification in surgical technology is preferred.
