Qualifications

EDUCATION: Minimum:

High school education or equivalent.

LICENSE

Professional certifications

Minimum:

Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant or become certified within 6 months of date of hire.
BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.

Work experience

Minimum:

Experience in long term care setting
Preferred:
Activities experience or CNA training

SKILLS

Minimum:

Demonstrate a basic knowledge about recreational activities
Preferred:
Knowledge of common physical and mental disorders of the long term care resident
knowledge of activities programs and interventions

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a Certified Nursing Assistant or willing to become certified within six months. Experience in a long-term care setting is required, along with basic knowledge of recreational activities.
