About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse plans and coordinates medically approved programs for patients in a behavioral health facility. They are responsible for assessing patient health status, administering medications, and collaborating with the treatment team to ensure high-quality patient care.

"A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location. You'll

Do

As an

LPN at

RCA, you will:

Assess patient health by evaluating their physiological and behavioral health, monitoring vital signs, behavioral changes, and response to treatment.

Administer medications safely and in accordance with prescribed treatment plans.

Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure appropriate treatment/discharge plan.

Educate patients and families about addiction recovery and self-care practices.

Document patient progress and maintain medical records with accuracy and confidentiality.

Maintain a safe, structured environment that supports recovery and well-being and respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.

Complete documentation and follow procedures outlined in organizational policies and procedures. What We're Looking For

An active LPN license in [state]

A current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation).

One year of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or detox services is preferred; phlebotomy skills preferred.

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills to provide high-quality patient care.

Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and DSM Criteria preferred.

Competency in performing CLIA waived testing.

Requirements

The candidate must be capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and administering CPR for at least two minutes. They must also demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate medical documentation according to organizational policies.
