Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient - as-needed

Join our dynamic pharmacy team as a pharmacy technician, where you'll play a vital role in supporting medication distribution for both inpatient and outpatient care. • What you’ll do
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and delivering medications accurately and efficiently
• Maintain inventory systems including pyxis stock and cii safe
• Repackage medications and support unit dose systems
• Perform monthly medication checks to ensure quality and compliance
• Clean and disinfect the pharmacy clean room per established protocols
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients
• Uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance (Joint commission, maryland board of pharmacy, usp 795/800)
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or ged (Required)
• Previous pharmacy technician experience (Preferred)
• Registered maryland board of pharmacy technician (Required)
• National certification (Preferred)
• Must obtain maryland license within 30 days if licensed in another state
• Proficiency in ms word, excel, powerpoint
• Strong understanding of medical terminology

Physical & mental requirements

This role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting (Up to 50 lbs.), and fine hand/Eye coordination. Mental demands include sustained attention to detail, multitasking, and effective communication.
