About the role

The pharmacist is responsible for accurately dispensing medications and reviewing prescriptions for clinical appropriateness and safety. They must also provide patient counseling and ensure full compliance with pharmacy laws and company safety standards.

Relief Pharmacist

Pharmacy Innovations is seeking a Relief/PRN Pharmacist to join our team and provide coverage for scheduled and unscheduled absences. This is an as-needed position, with shifts scheduled based on pharmacy coverage needs. As our pharmacy continues to grow, there may be opportunities for regularly scheduled weekly shifts.

Our pharmacy is open Monday through Friday, 9

About Pharmacy Innovations

Pharmacy Innovations is a growing, multi-state pharmacy group dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized medication solutions for patients and their families—including companion animals. Our team specializes in customized medications designed to meet individual patient needs, moving beyond a one-size-fits-all approach to care.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, appropriate dosing, contraindications, drug interactions, and other potential clinical concerns.

Counsel patients and customers regarding proper medication use, potential side effects, drug interactions, and other relevant health considerations.

Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations, company policies, safety standards, and professional best practices.

Oversee appropriate medication storage, handling, labeling, and documentation.

Respond to questions from patients, customers, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.

Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to support safe, high-quality patient care.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.

Exercise sound professional judgment and prioritize patient safety in all aspects of pharmacy practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current, active, and unrestricted Pharmacist license in good standing with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Previous compounding experience is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound professional judgment, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Commitment to exceptional patient care and clear, effective communication with patients, customers, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy law, clinical drug information, and medication therapy management.

Pay rate based on experience. These are in-person positions - no remote work available.
