  • Schedule: 36 Hour Night with rotating weekends ABOUT THE Critical Care/CCU DEPARTMENT AT BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER:

The Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) is an 10 bed unit that provides critical care nursing to complex cardiology patients. The types of patients that are frequently admitted include STEMIs, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, TAVRS (trans femoral aortic valve replacements) and patients with dysrhythmias.

Position summary

As an RN in the Critical Care unit, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care.

Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues Update and manage patient records Enter and interpret computerized data/information Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects JOB REQUIREMENTS: Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Requirements

Candidates must be licensed as a registered nurse in Massachusetts and possess BLS and ACLS certifications. A nursing degree is required, with a preference for a BSN and at least one year of relevant clinical experience.

NursingCC - Critical Care (SICU, MICU, Step down) Compensation Range: $38.05- $75.33 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
