The Speech Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. They are responsible for providing care within the rehabilitation department and traveling to patient locations as needed.
Under general supervision of the Clinical Manager or designee, perform duties to support and in support of the Rehabilitation Department. Assess, diagnose, treat and help to restore speech language, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and other related disorders within the patient's capabilities.
Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-ASHA) from the American Speech/Language & Hearing Association is required. Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs is required. Two (2) years of related experience in the field of Speech Therapy is required. Home care experience preferred A Speech Therapist licensed by the Board of Registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment. Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR certification are required. MA and RI licensure will be needed Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $40.80 - USD $61.72 /Hr.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and possess current CCC-ASHA certification. A minimum of two years of related experience and active licensure in Massachusetts and Rhode Island are required.
