About the role

The Medical Assistant or LPN will support clinical duties across multiple ambulatory clinics, including patient rooming, vitals collection, and executing physician orders. They act as a liaison between patients and providers while managing electronic medical records and administrative tasks like prior authorizations.

This role assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care, scheduling appointments, executing physician orders for lab testing, entering information in electronic medical record system, and functions as a liaison between patients, coworkers, and providers.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Sign on Bonus Available (Ask your Talent Acquisition Advisor if eligible for Sign-On Bonus) Varied shift and locations: position does float to regional offices in (Crawfordsville and Rensselaer) Monday - Friday No Weekends / No Holidays Enjoy work life balance with consistent day shift schedule and observed holidays off work Professional development opportunities Enhanced benefits package with a pay structure to reward experience and expertise Provide a more personal approach to direct patient care in a variety of outpatient settings, which may include: rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining a comprehensive medical history, document care of patient via electronic medical record, administering vaccines, injections, and medications, phlebotomy, point of care testing and medication reconciliation under the supervision of RN/Provider.

Gather requirements from internal and external customers and provide information via phone, electronic messaging and in person.

Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and process sample medications, prescriptions, and refills as directed.

Qualifications

Required High School Diploma/GED Required completion of accredited Medical Assisting Program or Associates in LPN Required 5 years Medical Assisting experience in lieu of education Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Required certification within 6 months of hire Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Registry of Medical Assistants or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcare Association (NHA) TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Never or Rarely EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER It is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law. Requirements

Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED and have completed an accredited Medical Assisting program or possess an Associate degree in LPN. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, along with BLS certification and a valid medical assistant certification.
