Inova Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Clinical Infusion Pharmacist –to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift (Monday – Friday) weekend as needed.

Clinical Pharmacist Job Responsibilities
Prepare and compound customized medications – including creams, capsules, suspensions, and sterile preparations – according to physician prescriptions and established formulas.
Select, measure, and mix pharmaceutical ingredients using specialized equipment such as balances, ointment mills, and encapsulation machines.
Maintain strict quality control by following USP <795> and <800> guidelines, ensuring all compounded products meet regulatory and safety standards.
Document all compounding activities accurately in compliance with state board of pharmacy requirements and company SOPs.
Interprets, prepares, and verifies medication orders as appropriate.
Provides clinical consultation and cost-effective alternatives.
Issues controlled substances in compliance according to the DEA and VA Board of Pharmacy requirements.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and possess a valid pharmacist license in the state of Virginia. A minimum of one year of experience in compounding or a specialty clinical pharmacy role is required.
