Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician assists licensed pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and reconciliation of medications for patients. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, managing drug inventory, and performing administrative tasks in compliance with pharmacy regulations.
Family Health Care is currently seeking for a Pharmacy Technician!
This is a position in which any range of experience is desirable. Work is performed under the direct supervision of licensed registered pharmacist(s) in storing, preparing, dispensing, reconciling, and charging of all medications to patients serviced by the pharmacy and in compliance with and adhering to all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice, and State Board of Pharmacy practices. Performs all responsibilities according to best practices in the field and reflecting the mission and vision of Baldwin Family Health Care.
Fills and dispenses medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist Verifies, obtains, and maintains accurate patient demographic, allergy, insurance, and other required information. Enters data into computer as required Assists the pharmacist in maintaining an adequate drug inventory and quality control procedures Prepares pharmacy work areas for daily activities/ operations/ usages to meet patient and pharmacist needs Performs various administrative functions as required Understands and demonstrates proficiency in 340B rules and regulations
