  • Purpose: At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Main Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients.

  • Will Do: Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required. Valid RN license in Connecticut. Must have two (2) or more years of inpatient nursing experience.

Preferred

  • Ideal candidates must have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience. Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross) Familiarity with AORN standards Important Consideration **
  • This position is open to experienced RN candidates seeking training through the AORN Periop 101 program. Comprehensive onboarding and education will be provided to support a successful transition into the intraoperative nursing environment. This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training through the Periop 101 program. Candidates must be able to function independently in the OR.
