Market context

Illinois surgical technologist roles stay competitive

In Illinois, Certified Surgical Technologist openings are often driven by steady operating room staffing needs, so candidates with current certification and recent OR experience tend to stand out. These roles are competitive because employers usually want graduates of a Surgical Tech program, Operating Room Technician Certification, and at least one year in the OR; benefits commonly include health, dental, vision, life insurance, and annual quality or goal incentives. Before applying, confirm your certification details and OR experience match the posting, and note that the requirements and benefits shown here are AI-summarized from the original job description to save research time.
