We are seeking experienced Professional Fee Medical Coders to support a short-term coding project focused on Family Medicine, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and Allergy/Immunology specialties.
This assignment is expected to last 30 to 60 days and offers both full-time (40 hrs) and part-time (20 hrs) scheduling options.
The ideal candidate will possess strong professional fee coding experience, including evaluation and management (E/M) services, procedure coding, and allergy-related services such as allergy testing and allergy injections/immunotherapy administration.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with Cerner and 3M 360 Encompass and have a proven track record of maintaining high levels of coding accuracy and productivity.
Key Responsibilities Review provider documentation and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for professional fee services.
Code encounters across the following specialties: Family Medicine Orthopedics Pediatrics Allergy/Immunology Accurately code E/M services in accordance with current AMA and CMS guidelines.
Code specialty procedures, injections, diagnostic services, and treatment encounters.
Code allergy-related services, including: Allergy testing Immunotherapy administration Allergy injections Ensure compliance with payer-specific, CMS, and coding guidelines.
Meet established productivity and quality standards.
Identify and communicate documentation deficiencies or coding concerns.
Collaborate with coding leadership and quality teams to ensure coding accuracy and consistency.
Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Professional Fee coding experience.
Recent coding experience in one or more of the following specialties: Family Medicine Orthopedics Pediatrics Allergy/Immunology Strong knowledge of: ICD-10-CM CPT HCPCS Level II Professional Fee E/M Coding Guidelines Modifier usage and documentation requirements Experience coding injections, infusion services, and specialty procedures.
Hands-on experience with: Cerner 3M 360 Encompass Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
Assignment Details Duration: 30-60 Days Hours Available: Full-Time: 40 hours per week Part-Time: 20 hours per week Schedule: Flexible hours between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM Central Time Location: Remote This opportunity is ideal for experienced Professional Fee coders who can quickly integrate into a coding team, accurately code complex multi-specialty physician services, and consistently deliver high-quality results throughout the duration of the project.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of professional fee coding experience and proficiency with Cerner and 3M 360 Encompass. Strong knowledge of E/M guidelines, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS is required for this multi-specialty role.
