Medical Coder
The Medical Coder is responsible for accurately assigning ICD-10-CM and OASIS codes supported by clinical documentation. They must ensure compliance with coding regulations and internal policies to facilitate accurate billing for client agencies.
The Medical Coder is responsible for providing medical coding support to assigned agencies.

Key Responsibilities Make accurate ICD-10-CM code assignments.
Review OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) and assign accurate codes supported by the documentation.
Identify viable primary diagnosis and procedures as well as pertinent secondary diagnosis and procedures.
Adhere to coding compliance regulations and internal policies to ensure accurate billing for our client agencies.
Review, interpret, and recommend a plan of care corrections as needed.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Required qualifications GED or High School Diploma 1-2 of Relevant Work Experience Coding Certified (HCS-D or BCHH-C)
OASIS experience Hospice experience Job Expectations Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time #LI-CS1 #LI-Remote
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and 1-2 years of relevant work experience. A professional coding certification such as HCS-D or BCHH-C is required.
