About the role

The dentist is responsible for providing clinical and preventative dental services, including diagnosing and treating oral diseases and injuries. They perform procedures such as cleaning, filling, and extracting teeth while educating patients on oral hygiene.

Responsible for providing clinical dental services and preventative dental care.

Diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums, and related oral structures.

Examines patient to determine nature of condition, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments and other diagnostic procedures.

Cleans, fills, extracts, and replaces teeth, using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements.

Provides preventative dental services to the patients, such as applications of fluoride and sealants to teeth, education in oral and dental hygiene. · Graduation from an accredited dental school · Excellent interpersonal and written communication skilled, required · Requires a comprehensive knowledge of primary dental care in outpatient setting · Knowledge of the principles and practice of modern dentistry as related to community health programs as well as current social and economic problems pertaining to public health and their impact on primary health care · Working knowledge of the principles and practices of preventative and corrective dentistry and oral hygiene, and skill in their application · Skills in all areas of general dentistry, including, but not limited to, diagnosis and treatment planning, restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics and oral surgery, and pedodontics · Demonstrates commitment to provide dental services to the underserved population in our community Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (403b) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Short Term & Long Term Disability Training & Development

Requirements

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited dental school and possess comprehensive knowledge of primary dental care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with proficiency in various areas of general dentistry.
