  • South Shore Veterinary Hospital in Forest Lake, MN is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, outgoing technicians who want to fully utilize their education and expertise while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets. In this role, you will: Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs. Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication. Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity. Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care. This position is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about exceptional patient and client care, and ready to work at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment. This is a full-time position, with a flexible (5/8s or 4/10s) schedule and availability needed Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8am to 5pm and Tuesdays/Thursdays until 8am-8pm. Full-time benefits and compensation**: Compensation: $24-$29 per hour, for each hour worked
  • Bonus package: $500- $2000 CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on credentials Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k options (Matching in 2027) Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Uniform allowance Minimum qualifications and skill set: 1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Minnesota Proficiency in the following skills: Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning Client education and communication Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing Medication administration and accurate drug calculations Radiology positioning and safety protocols Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Surgical assistance and aseptic technique Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring Experience with exotic animals a plus!!
