The RN Trauma Program Specialist collaborates with the trauma program manager to evaluate patient care and implement performance improvement activities. They are responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, developing evidence-based guidelines, and monitoring patient progress through the continuum of care.

Where You’ll Work Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St.

Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center where we provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region through our state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life Colorado.

With four trauma rooms including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, our staff can provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients.

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our RN Trauma Program Specialist, you will collaborate with the trauma program manager to perform key elements of the trauma program, including evaluation of patient care, clinical and operational performance improvement activities, and development of evidence-based guidelines.

Every day you will contribute to regulatory compliance and optimal patient outcomes by refining evidence-based guidelines, implementing performance improvement activities, and providing trauma education to support comprehensive trauma care initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with expertise in trauma care, strong analytical skills in patient care evaluation, and the ability to develop evidence-based guidelines.

Collaborates with the trauma program manager to develop and execute performance improvement processes that support optimal outcomes for trauma patients.

Performs concurrent process improvement and evaluation of trauma care throughout the continuum, from prehospital, emergency room, operative, inpatient, and discharge.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a valid RN license, with at least three years of hospital experience including one year in critical care. TNCC certification is required upon hire or within six months, and Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
