Physical Therapy Aide

Position Summary

Under the general and direct supervision of the Manager the Physical Therapy Aide prepares equipment for treatment, performs the housekeeping duties of the department/facility; assists the Physical Therapist and Physical Therapy Assistants, and performs other diverse duties as requested or required.

Essential functions

Education, experience and skills

• 1.
• High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
• 2.
• Some knowledge of physiology, anatomy and neurology helpful but not required.
• 3.
• Current CPR certification.
• 4.
• Prefer experience in a hospital physical therapy department, physical therapy facility, nursing home or rehab agency performing.
• 5.
• Must be familiar with cleaning agents and methods, physical layout of department, techniques of handling patients, department, department/hospital policies, procedures and regulations and the operation of the department equipment.
