The Occupational Therapist will evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to improve daily living skills and independence. They will also provide direct therapy services, document progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
$60.00–$65.00 per hour, based on experience Orchard Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive interdisciplinary team while helping residents regain independence and achieve their highest level of function. Key Responsibilities Evaluate residents’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and established plans of care Help residents improve daily living skills, mobility, coordination, strength, and independence Recommend and train residents in the use of adaptive equipment and techniques Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals and safety strategies Accurately document evaluations, treatments, progress, and changes in condition Communicate resident progress and concerns to the interdisciplinary care team Participate in care planning and discharge planning as needed Follow all facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Current California Occupational Therapist license in good standing Current CPR certification Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills Compassionate, dependable, and committed to resident-centered care Why Join Orchard Post Acute? Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Occupational Therapy program and hold a current California Occupational Therapist license. Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is preferred, along with strong clinical and documentation skills.
