High Point Residence Kankakee is seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team as we continue to grow our newly opened Memory Care expansion.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing senior living community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their families. As a CNA, you will provide hands-on care and daily support while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life.
- Key responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care
- Support residents during meals and provide feeding assistance as needed
- Take and accurately record vital signs
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility
- Respond promptly and compassionately to resident call lights and requests
- Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the nursing team
- Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident environments
- Assist with linen changes and restocking resident care supplies
- Work collaboratively with nurses, leadership, and other members of the care team
- Follow resident care plans and direction provided by the Wellness Director or nursing supervisor
- Provide compassionate support tailored to the unique needs of residents living with memory loss
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current and valid Illinois CNA certification in good standing
- Active status on the Illinois Department of Public Health Healthcare Worker Registry
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Recently expired CPR certifications are accepted, and recertification can be provided
