Staff are required to follow all facility policies and procedures. Education – Masters Degree in Social Service field is required. License/Certification – Not Required Experience - Inpatient/outpatient psychiatric experience preferred. Providing individual and/or group therapy. Knowledge/Skills- Family dynamics, casework, interpersonal relationships and regional social policy. Knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, crisis management of aggressive behaviors, CPR training. Communication skills and ability to teach patients. Supervision Exercised- None Supervision Received – Director of Clinical Services/ PI General Working Environment - Hospital setting. Some risk involved in the event of the presence of an aggressive / violent patient. Works in a well lighted and ventilated setting, is subject to frequent interruptions, is involved with the patients and personnel throughout designated unit under varying conditions and circumstances. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to HIV and Hepatitis B Viruses Physical Requirements – Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and be able to walk and stand for long periods. Able to participate in crisis prevention intervention.
