Position Summary

Integrated ENT Allergy & Immunology is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused, and skilled Audiologist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This position is primarily focused on diagnostic audiology, working closely with ENT physicians to evaluate patients with hearing loss, tinnitus, balance-related concerns, and other auditory conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for patients with hearing loss, tinnitus, balance-related concerns, and other auditory conditions.

Perform and interpret diagnostic testing, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, and other clinically appropriate audiological assessments.

Determine the type, degree, and configuration of hearing loss based on diagnostic findings.

Review relevant patient histories, symptoms, physician referrals, previous test results, and medical information before and during evaluations.

Interpret and communicate audiological findings and recommendations clearly to patients, families, and referring providers.

Identify findings requiring additional medical evaluation and coordinate appropriate follow-up with ENT physicians or other healthcare professionals.

Collaborate closely with ENT physicians to support diagnosis, clinical decision-making, treatment planning, and continuity of care.

Perform age-appropriate diagnostic audiological testing for adult and pediatric patients within the Audiologist's training and clinical competency.

Educate patients and families regarding hearing health, diagnostic findings, hearing conservation, communication strategies, and recommended next steps in care.

Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of evaluations, findings, and recommendations in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Maintain audiological testing equipment and ensure equipment is appropriately calibrated, cleaned, and prepared for diagnostic use.

Follow applicable infection-control, HIPAA, professional, organizational, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain professional competency through continuing education and current knowledge of diagnostic audiology and evidence-based practices.

Perform additional diagnostic audiology responsibilities within the professional scope of practice as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Graduate degree in Audiology from an accredited or otherwise qualifying educational program.

Current and valid New York State Audiologist license, or eligibility to obtain required New York State licensure prior to practicing independently.

Knowledge of diagnostic audiology, hearing disorders, auditory anatomy and physiology, and appropriate clinical testing procedures.

Ability to administer, analyze, and accurately interpret comprehensive audiological evaluations.

Experience with pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, and other clinically appropriate diagnostic testing.

Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize findings requiring additional medical evaluation.

Excellent verbal, written, and patient communication skills.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clinical documentation abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree.
  • Previous experience in an ENT, otolaryngology, or physician-practice setting.
  • Experience working collaboratively with ENT physicians.
  • Experience evaluating both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Experience with diagnostic evaluation of hearing loss, tinnitus, balance-related concerns, and other auditory conditions.
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a graduate degree in Audiology and possess a valid New York State license or be eligible to obtain one. Strong clinical skills in diagnostic testing, documentation, and patient communication are required for this role.
