As an MLT/MT/MLS, you will enjoy a fast-paced rotation between key areas within the lab-including inpatient and outpatient specimen processing and receiving, outpatient registrations, MGC/ICC specimen receiving and processing and reference send-outs as needed.
MLT/MT/MLS will collaborate closely with the testing departments to ensure specimens are processed accurately and efficiently according to testing requirements.
This hands-on role involves investigate and handle specimen issues, load/unload the automation line, investigate line errors and issues, and will be responsible for maintenance on the automation line as well as centrifuges, refrigerators, and freezers.
You will also support onboarding and training new team members and take the lead in the department when a supervisor or manager is not available.

Position Summary
MLT will be able to perform routine clinical laboratory tests done in hematology, chemistry and coagulation. Must follow established standards and practices, performs various quantitative and qualitative clinical laboratory studies to comply with physician requests. Duties include analysis of various blood, body fluids and tissues, in order to provide data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Minimum Requirements Education Associate degree in Laboratory Science Experience 1-3 years' experience in a hospital laboratory. Must be able to provide and understand the specific communication, developmental and treatment needs of patients, families and visitors ranging in age from neonate-birth to geriatric.
