The Trauma Healing Therapist provides direct psychotherapy, individually and in group settings, as well as, crisis stabilization, and other services to individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by crimes, including, but not limited to, sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, attempted homicide, stalking, etc. using a Systems based approach to interventions. *These are Part Time positions.
One position based at EMPACT in Glendale and one base at the Glendale Family Advocacy Center/Glendale Police Department.
*On Call component required. *Crisis Differential provided.
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required.
Associate level AZBBHE licensure or higher required or to be obtained within six months.
Clear and effective communication. Strong customer service skills.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Documentation skills.
Conflict resolution experience.
Must possess valid AZ Driver's license with no major infractions for the past 39 months.
Fingerprint clearance card required or must be eligible to obtain one.
Bilingual - Spanish preferred. *Language differential offered.
Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
Additional Requirements and Responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender or sexual orientation.
Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical professional practice and the policies and procedures of the agency.
Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners.
If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with EMPACT - SPC’s liability insurance carrier is required. At time of hire, a 3-year state driving record with no major infractions or excessive driving violations/tickets is required.
Attend meetings, training, and agency activities and events outside of regularly scheduled work hours upon request.
Maintain compliance with required training.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor or member of management.
EMPACT-SPC is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services and accredited by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) AND The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
