Role Purpose Under the direction of the PA supervisor and Director of Surgical Pathology, this role examines, describes, and sections biopsies and small, simple, uncomplicated resection specimens, requiring independent medical judgment with indirect supervision. This role will prepare frozen section tissue and slides for rapid diagnosis; performs general lab functions, technologist activities and quality assurance; maintains laboratory equipment, supplies and records; acts as a technical resource for accessioners, students, residents and other trainees; and supports compliance activities.

Candidates must hold an Associate's degree in clinical laboratory science, MLT, or HT. No prior experience is required, though 2-5 years of experience is preferred.
