The Medication Aide is responsible for administering medications to residents in a timely manner according to physician orders and facility policies. They work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and the Director of Nursing to ensure safe and compliant care.

Shifts Available: 2nd shift (3p-11p), Monday-Friday
The Medication Aide provides medication administration for residents in assigned area in a timely manner following all policies and procedures of the Medication Administration guidelines and under the direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with physician’s orders, company and industry standards and federal and state regulations. Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
Administer medication as directed in the Medication Administration policies and procedures except injections, medication given by g-tube, j-tube or nasogastic tubes and IV medications.
High School graduate or G.E.D.
Minimum of three (3) months work experience in basic nursing procedures for nursing assistants preferred.
Successfully completed the state approved training program including competency evaluation and facility orientation program.
Successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program and has current certification with no allegations of abuse or neglect and current in required in-services.
Minimum age of 18 years or older is required for this position due to Department of Labor regulations
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. and a current Certified Nursing Assistant certification. A minimum of three months of experience in basic nursing procedures is preferred.
