Occupational Therapist PRN
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat residents to improve their functional abilities and independence. They are also responsible for developing treatment plans, documenting progress, and supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Description Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team at a beautiful independent living and memory care facility in Clarksdale, MS. In this role, you will evaluate and treat residents to help them improve their independence, safety, functional abilities, and overall quality of life.
The Occupational Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled occupational therapy services, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The OT will also provide guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.
Patient Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's independence and quality of life.
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Professional
Development: Participate or lead team development meetings.
Wellness
Programming: Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
