Sterile Processing Technician

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment required for medical procedures is properly sterilized after each use. You will be charged with meticulously cleaning surgical tools, organizing equipment for both ortho and endo cases. You will handle intercom calls in a professional, courteous manner and work with a team to ensure tasks are completed. Your role involves adhering to sterile processing best practices to uphold the quality of patient care throughout their surgery.
1 year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in a similar role or surgery center setting preferred. You can lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet a minimum of 6 hours out of an 8 hour day. You must be able to identify problems, and conflicts and work proactively towards resolution. You can perform simple math calculations and follow verbal and written instructions. You have proficiency in typing and using computers. You are adaptable and able to adjust your schedule to ensure department work gets done.

AMPSC is a privately held medical facility. Candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment will be required to complete a criminal background check, and meet certain vaccination requirements. Those offered a role must successfully complete federal background checks, education verification, reference checks, and an initial TB test.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a sterile processing or surgery center role. Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for at least 6 hours per shift.
