Endo/GI Tech at Baylor Surgicare Fort Worth I

· Assists Registered Nurse in preparing patients for procedures, and caring for them post-op.

· Checks pre/ post op area for cleanliness and orderliness.

· Brings the patient to pre-op area and assists with changing if needed.

· Takes vital signs.

· Makes sure all pre-op testing, H&P, and necessary paperwork are on chart prior to surgical procedure.

· Transports patients to and from procedure rooms.

· Maintains supplies and equipment.

· Restocks carts.

· Directs family members.

· Includes family / patient in post-op instructions.

· Coordinates patient transportation.

· Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

· Participates in QAPI, Infection Control and Safety Program.

Qualifications

Education

· High school graduate or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification: · BLS Required

Required Experience

· Experience or interest in healthcare industry.

· Knowledge of GI procedures.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a current BLS certification. Previous experience or a strong interest in the healthcare industry and knowledge of GI procedures is required.
