Cardiovascular Specialist (RN/RT) - Electrophysiology Lab

Job Responsibilities (Not Limited To)

• Emergency
• Preparedness: Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are always ready; Recognize and respond to potential emergency situations as needed.
• Ensure
• Safe &
• Therapeutic
• Environment: Promote safety practices & standards, maintain knowledge of equipment operation, adhere to equipment safety guidelines & report any malfunctions.
• Record
• Keeping: Complete & maintain accurate departmental records and logs in a timely manner by entering patient data and charges into electronic system, and safeguard patient privacy & confidentiality.

Communication

• Maintain professional relationship with patients, families, and colleagues through effective communication and responsiveness; sensitively address conflicts & concerns as needed.
• On-Call: Provides coverage for 24-hour emergency call for Cardiac Cath Lab. Rotating on call responsibilities with other staff members. Responding in a timely fashion (within 25 minutes) to emergency calls. Facilitating activities between departments to ensure prompt patient care.
• Patient
• Care: Monitor & evaluate patient stability during procedures, administer medications & treatments under supervision, and assist with advanced procedures.
• Education &
• Consultation: Offer mentorship and support to co-workers & trainees, participate in Continuing Education & in-service opportunities, and performs / maintains assigned point-of-care testing and annual competencies.
• Age-Specific
• Care: Provide age-appropriate care considering physical, mental, and developmental factors; Regularly update knowledge on age-specific guidelines.
