The Dental Assistant provides chair-side support to dentists and hygienists while managing patient communication and translation. They are also responsible for maintaining clinical equipment, performing x-rays, and ensuring accurate documentation and billing.

FHCSD also offers supportive services to those who are unsheltered and in need of intensive case management.

Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is looking for a Dental Assistant - Float to support in maintaining and efficient functioning Dental Department by providing chairside assistant and clinical support to dental providers across multiple clinic locations. Under the direction of the Dental Clinic Coordinator or Assistant Director, the Dental Assistant Float assists with patient care, infection control, instrument sterilization, and minor equipment maintenance while helping ensure the delivery of high-quality dental services. This is a clinic-based position focused on skill and competency development, teamwork, and excellence in patient care.
