Radiology Technician

About the role

Performs radiography, CT, and MRI exams according to department protocols while maintaining accurate documentation. Ensures patient care is appropriate for their condition and helps maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Education
  • Associates of Applied Science degree in Radiology
  • Experience/Skills
  • At least one year Radiology experience preferred
  • CT experience preferred or willing to cross train as CT Tech
  • Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Indiana State Board of Health (ISBH) Licensure
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registration
  • CPR
  • Working Conditions
  • Clean, well-lit working environment
  • May work “on call” when needs require

Routine responsibilities

  • Behavioral Expectations
  • Consistently complies with established Behavioral Expectations
  • Job Duties
  • Performs Radiography and/or CT/MRI exams according to department protocols
  • Obtains a history and appropriate diagnosis for exam 1. Completes all appropriate documentation
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate for patient’s age level, physical condition, mental condition, and emotional status
  • Checks department requisitions and schedule and prioritizes appropriately
  • Recognizes duties requiring completion but not directly assigned
  • Regularly helps other staff
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment
  • Department Specific Focus
  • Ensures all charges are documented accurately and charged out correctly

Full time/Day shift 80 hours/Biweekly

Requirements

Requires an Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiology along with ISBH licensure and ARRT registration. At least one year of radiology experience is preferred, and candidates must be willing to cross-train in CT.
