How you’ll make an impact in this role Continuously observe and track cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors for designated patients, identifying normal baseline patterns as well as arrhythmias and acute changes. Promptly document irregular rhythms or pattern shifts and immediately escalate critical heart rate and rhythm changes to the primary nurse, charge nurse, or attending physician for further medical analysis. Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot telemetry monitoring units and transmitters, ensuring proper functionality, battery replacement, and adequate inventory of monitoring supplies. Maintain accurate, timely telemetry logs, strips, and documentation regarding patient rhythm trends, alarm occurrences, and reporting chains in accordance with facility standards.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
