Responsibilities

Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed Transport clients to appointments, community outings, and day programs Foster independence and community inclusion through skill-building activities Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and healthcare team members

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or CNA preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and drug screening CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills Compassionate, dependable, and person-centered approach to care About Us: Better Healthcare Services LLC is a trusted provider of community-based support services in the Springfield, VA area, dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to thrive.
