Compounding pharmacy technician
The Compounding Pharmacy Technician performs sterile compounding and assists with general pharmacy workflow, including staging, filling, and labeling. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring quality control, and complying with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy Completion of one of the following: Completion and certification from an ASHP accredited pharmacy technician training program. Completion of a course sponsored by an ACPE approved provider that provides 40 hours of instruction and experience in all areas listed in Section 291.36c 4 A of the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Laws and Regulations Texas State Board of Pharmacy License. Maintains required Sterile Products hours to meet TSBP rules for technicians compounding sterile products.
