Trillium Clinic Dermatology is seeking a part-time board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist to join our growing dermatology practice and serve patients in our Chapel Hill and Burlington, North Carolina locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dermatologist seeking a flexible part-time position within a physician-led practice that offers a broad range of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. The ideal candidate is an excellent clinician and communicator who enjoys building relationships with patients and working in a collaborative, supportive practice environment.

About Trillium Clinic

Trillium Clinic Dermatology provides comprehensive dermatologic care, including medical dermatology, skin cancer evaluation and treatment, surgical dermatology, Mohs surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

Our practice is built around providing high-quality, personalized dermatologic care with convenient access and an exceptional patient experience. We are continuing to expand our presence throughout central North Carolina and are looking for a dermatologist who wants to grow with the practice.

Position Overview

The part-time dermatologist will provide comprehensive dermatologic evaluation and treatment for patients at our Chapel Hill and Burlington offices, with the opportunity to develop a practice aligned with the physician's clinical interests and experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical dermatology care for adult and/or pediatric patients Diagnose and treat common and complex dermatologic conditions Perform skin cancer evaluations and biopsies Diagnose and manage basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and other skin cancers Perform appropriate office-based dermatologic procedures Provide surgical dermatology services within the physician's scope of training and expertise Counsel patients regarding skin cancer prevention and ongoing skin cancer screening Develop individualized treatment plans based on current evidence and patient preferences Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive skin care Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Communicate effectively with referring physicians and other members of the patient's care team Participate in a collaborative practice environment with dermatology providers and clinical staff Deliver an excellent patient experience consistent with Trillium Clinic's standards Clinical Interests and Opportunities

We welcome dermatologists with a broad range of clinical interests. Opportunities may include:

General medical dermatology Pediatric dermatology Complex medical dermatology Skin cancer diagnosis and treatment Surgical dermatology Cosmetic dermatology Laser and energy-based treatments Injectables and aesthetic procedures Hair and scalp disorders Psoriasis and inflammatory skin disease Atopic dermatitis and eczema Acne and acne scarring Pigmentary disorders Other areas of specialized dermatologic interest The position can be tailored based on the candidate's experience, interests, and desired clinical mix.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with scheduling flexibility.

The successful candidate may work at one or both of our Chapel Hill and Burlington locations, depending on practice needs and the physician's preferences.

Potential scheduling arrangements may include

One or more clinical days per week Consistent weekly or biweekly clinic days Flexible scheduling around an existing professional schedule A combination of Chapel Hill and Burlington clinic days We are happy to discuss a schedule that provides meaningful clinical volume while maintaining flexibility.

Qualifications

Required

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited dermatology residency program Board certified in Dermatology Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based dermatologic care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care 2+ years of experience in general medical and surgical dermatology post residency
