LabCorp is seeking a Report Coordinator – Pathology Support (Onsite) to join our team in Shelton, CT.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (1 Saturday a month), 9:00am-5:30pm Job Responsibilities Ensures all cases entering the pathology suite are processed to completion according to pathologist/client expectations within quality, time, and volume constraints.

Reviews test requisitions and submitted medical records to verify test orders, sample type, and clinical information.

Assigns cases to appropriate pathologist according to established protocol.

Adds, reflexes, cancels, or sends out testing as directed by pathologists/clients.

Monitors alert worklist and investigates, takes action, follows up, and/or resolves issues as necessary.

Responds with urgency to requests for information from pathologists, clients, or laboratory departments to resolve reporting delays, client concerns, and IT issues.

Prepares revised reports for pathologist signature.

Coordinates communication between pathologists, laboratory departments, and clinicians to ensure timely completion and reporting of laboratory test results to client.

Provides general office support to Pathology Department including phones, faxing, filing, email, US mail, FedEx shipping, document scanning, and preparation of materials for off-site storage.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 1 year or more of laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications

1 year or more of pathology experience 1 year or more of medical transcriptionist experience Additional Job Standards: Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently and within a team environment High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

Benefits

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO. For more detailed information, please click here.
