Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures Obtain patient histories and accurately document vital signs and medical information Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to promote patient comfort and safety Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, and diagnostic sample collection Assist with laboratory procedures and operate IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment Obtain diagnostic radiographs Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for procedures Assist with anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, and wound care Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Educate clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive healthcare Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records Keep treatment areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the day Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to maintain an efficient workflow and positive hospital culture What You’ll Bring We’re looking for a Veterinary Technician who combines strong clinical skills with compassion, communication, dependability, and a team-first mindset. Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred Experienced Veterinary Technician candidates are also encouraged to apply Confidence with safe and compassionate patient handling and restraint Strong foundational veterinary technician skills Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, and sample collection Experience obtaining diagnostic radiographs Knowledge of laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing Experience with anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery Knowledge of preventive healthcare and vaccines Comfort working with IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment Ability to provide attentive nursing care and recognize changes in patient status Strong client communication and education skills Accurate and thorough medical recordkeeping Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment A positive, self-motivated, and collaborative approach Commitment to teamwork and high-quality patient care A desire to continue learning and developing professionally A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and helping pets and their families The Extras You’ll Actually Feel At Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital, we know that supporting excellent veterinary medicine means supporting the people who provide it.
