  • SHIFT: FTE 0.6 (48 hours bi-weekly), Part-Time (Three 8-hour shifts) Summary/Objective This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population. Essential Functions
  • Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
  • Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and prevention. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes
  • Produces high-quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
  • Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.
  • Required to be on call per department rotation Experience
  • One year of experience preferred Skills/Competencies
  • Exemplifies good customer service
  • Effective communication skills, human relation skills
  • Be able to analyze data and problem solve Education
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program License
  • Current Indiana State Department of Health Radiologic License upon hire. Certifications
  • Registered in one (1) ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists discipline
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain within one (1) month of hire Qualifications

Requirements

Requires a certificate or diploma from an accredited Radiology program and a current Indiana State Department of Health Radiologic License. Must hold ARRT registration and BLS certification, with one year of experience preferred.
