Sterile Processing Technician

What You’ll Do
Clean, test, adjust, assemble and sterilize reusable medical supplies, instruments and equipment.
Stores and distributes patient care medical instruments and equipment to hospital units, stocks medical supply storage areas.
Performs, analyzes and documents sterilizer functions, tests vacuums, chemical and biological indicators, evaluates and inspects equipment, answers telephones, handles face to face interactions with patients and hospital personnel.
Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For
Six months’ experience in a medical setting preferred.
Must have a current American Heart Association approved BLS card within three months of hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
Graduate of certified Central Service Technician program or previous experience as Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
Familiarity with hospital supplies, equipment, instruments preferred.\

Candidates should have six months of medical setting experience and a current BLS card. Completion of a certified Central Service Technician program is preferred.
