About the role

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. They must also manage image processing, maintain equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety and infection control protocols.

American Health Imaging is looking for a registered PRN CT Technologist for Conyers, GA location.

This is a PRN role, with hours from either 7AM to 10PM.

Job Summary: As a registered CT Technologist, you will perform high quality scans while providing excellent customer care and service to patients!

Responsibilities

Perform CT examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality. Choose appropriate protocol and technical factors according to age, size and symptoms of patient Provide thorough explanation of procedure to the patient, anticipating and responding to patients’ needs and questions Position patients appropriately for ordered exam and assist patients on/off examination table as needed. Monitor patients during exam Verify patient information and obtain comprehensive medical history including any related prior studies Obtain consent for administration of IV contrast and follow established practices to provide treatment, documentation and follow-up in the case of any adverse effects of IV contrast administration Perform venipuncture for administration of IV contrast Prepare and administer contrast media according to established practices Utilize scanner within manufacture guidelines and take appropriate action for service as needed Utilize PACS and RIS for image processing and accurate documentation Maintain clear and safe environment, which includes preparing room for each patient Perform daily and monthly QA procedures on scanner Follow ALARA principles, Image Gently and Image Wisely to insure safe radiation practices. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations Initiate basic life support actions when necessary Use infection control practices Maintain punctuality and regular attendance All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Graduate of approved program for Radiological Technology ARRT and CT Registry required Current BLS/CPR training CT scanner operation and training CT anatomy and knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of operation system of CT scanner, RIS and PACS Basic proficiency with computer monitors, keyboard and mouse for scanning, RIS and PACS use Organized, detail oriented, observant Calm and effective communicator Helpful, patient and sympathetic Physical Demands of the Position Lifting, moving, positioning and assisting of patients on/off examination table Walking 25% of shift, standing 50% of shift, sitting 25% of shift Working Conditions Daily patient contact Robust benefit offerings include: Medical / Dental / Vision / Life / Pharmacy Plans, with Benefits effective first day of the month following hire date 401(k) Employer Paid Short-Term Disability Employer Paid Life/AD&D Voluntary Life Paid Maternity Leave Paid Vacation Time PTO Accrual Beginning Day 1 Colleague Referral Bonus Program Lumexa Imaging provides a competitive compensation program to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performance workforce. Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an approved Radiological Technology program and hold current ARRT and CT registry certifications. Proficiency in CT scanner operation, medical terminology, and basic life support is required.
