The Laboratory Assistant performs clinical laboratory procedures, including receiving and processing specimens according to established protocols. They are also responsible for patient registration duties and other tasks as determined by the manager.

Position Summary

To apply and contribute to the St. Joseph’s Health mission and values in performing a variety of clinical laboratory procedures related to receiving and/or processing specimens in the Laboratory by following established procedures and protocols. Responsibilities include receiving and patient registration duties or special skills sets determined by the Manager. Education Requirements: 1. High School diploma required. 2. Computer knowledge preferred. 3. Medical terminology knowledge preferred. 4. Good communication and interpersonal skills Experience Requirements: 1. One year of related experience preferred. Pay

Range: $21.75 - $28.10 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of computer systems and medical terminology is preferred, along with one year of related experience.
