The Staff RN II is responsible for providing acute patient care in the Pre-Op/PACU unit from admission to discharge. Duties include directing unlicensed staff, coordinating with the healthcare team, and implementing treatment plans while maintaining documentation standards.
Overview Primarily responsible for providing acute patient care in a safe and effective manner in Pre-Op/PACU from admission to discharge.
Additional responsibilities include directing the unlicensed employee’s activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and documentation and evaluation.
Representative duties include: Collaboration with health care team, patient and family to coordinate patient care delivery.
Participation in ongoing feedback related to self, individual, unit and organizational performance improvement.
Integration of patient care standards and protocols into personal practice and assisting other RN’s.
Completion of patient care assignments and documentation, asking for and offering assistance as appropriate and delegating as appropriate.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC- Anaheim Regional Medical Center.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited RN School of Nursing with at least one year of acute care experience in Critical Care or PeriAnesthesia. A current California RN license, BLS-HCP certification, and ACLS certification are required.
Education/Training/Experience Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred. One year acute care experience in Critical Care or PeriAnesthesia required. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong education and associated experiential background. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Licenses/Certifications Current CA RN license required Current BLS-HCP required Current ACLS (required within six months of hire/transfer for RNs new to the specialty) Current PALS preferred
