About the role

The Surgical Technician is responsible for preparing the operating room, managing sterile supplies, and assisting the surgeon by passing instruments during procedures. They also monitor patient conditions and perform terminal cleaning of instruments and the operating room.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Surgical Technician to join our upscale plastic surgery center!

A bit about the position

Handles instruments, supplies, assisting in circulating and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Monitors conditions in the operating room and constantly assesses the needs of the patient and surgical team. Typically 4 days a week between the hours of 6am-6pm.

What you can expect in the role

Gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment needed for the surgical procedure.

Set up sterile back table and Mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure.

Anticipates the needs of the Surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to Surgeon during procedure.

Assists with draping the patient and establishing the sterile field.

Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.

Assists other members of the team with terminal cleaning of room.

Assists in prepping the OR for the next patient.

Anticipates additional supplies needed during the procedure.

What we are looking for in a candidate

At least 2 years of Surgical Tech experience.

Plastics in a private office setting a plus.

Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.

Confident and skilled.

Knowledge in sterilization and processing.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least 2 years of surgical technician experience and possess knowledge in sterilization and processing. A Surgical Technologist Certification is preferred for this role.
